Yeah, there was no reason for an Ensign to run Ops on a ship like Voyager. It would have been great writing for after Paris gets demoted, Janeway takes the pip and places it on Kim’s collar.
Alternatively, some of the best episodes of TNG were “bottle” episodes to fill space and keep costs down. If 90s trek had shorter seasons would we have had “Measure of a Man” ,“Duet”, or “Masks” made?
I know the days of a 24 episode season are long gone due to the increase of production time in modern TV, but maybe we could have 13 to 15 episodes ? Enough for a 10 episode dedicated season arc with a few others just to explore some weird anomalies that make no sense at all.
I think we can excuse the fact that apparently everyone and their transporter clone had Pelia as their engineering professor. She’s been at the academy for so long, I wouldn’t be surprised if she dated Boothby on and off again or at least got him into gardening.
There’s a long tradition in star trek where characters talk about one particular professor or class at the Academy and the other character always knows who the professor is.
IMHO I find that having a two foundation long block of rail before and after the station helps with trains running smoothly than the trains directly going into a one to many or many to one block. My bet is that it helps gives a train space to stop while the other trains go through the combo blocks.
Respectfully to the other person that replied to you…No, what you did was correct. It’s important to keep the title the same as you are sharing not editorializing.
