I’m sure there’s reports. And as a Vulcan lady with superior olfactory senses, it is only logical to become aware of what smells may occur.

milkisklim , to Star Trek in ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Cast Talks About The Big Change For Season 4

Yeah, there was no reason for an Ensign to run Ops on a ship like Voyager. It would have been great writing for after Paris gets demoted, Janeway takes the pip and places it on Kim’s collar.

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Officer Training in days of NX-01

Did Travis do any formal corresponding school education while on the ship to earn a degree?

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Star Trek executive producer wants more Strange New Worlds episodes, and I’m nervous

Masks is my favorite Data TNG episode.

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Star Trek executive producer wants more Strange New Worlds episodes, and I’m nervous

Alternatively, some of the best episodes of TNG were “bottle” episodes to fill space and keep costs down. If 90s trek had shorter seasons would we have had “Measure of a Man” ,“Duet”, or “Masks” made?

I know the days of a 24 episode season are long gone due to the increase of production time in modern TV, but maybe we could have 13 to 15 episodes ? Enough for a 10 episode dedicated season arc with a few others just to explore some weird anomalies that make no sense at all.

I think we can excuse the fact that apparently everyone and their transporter clone had Pelia as their engineering professor. She’s been at the academy for so long, I wouldn’t be surprised if she dated Boothby on and off again or at least got him into gardening.

There’s a long tradition in star trek where characters talk about one particular professor or class at the Academy and the other character always knows who the professor is.

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Canon Connections: 2x09 - Subspace Rhapsody

Not necessarily a canon connection, but Robot Chicken did do an operatic skit called Le Wrath di Khan

milkisklim , to Satisfactory in Trains sometimes collide leaving the station

IMHO I find that having a two foundation long block of rail before and after the station helps with trains running smoothly than the trains directly going into a one to many or many to one block. My bet is that it helps gives a train space to stop while the other trains go through the combo blocks.

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Strange New Worlds | 2x09 "Subspace Rhapsody"

I think it’s because the pop Hamilton style singing they were forced into does not constitute Opera in their tradition. This dishonor

Quark: I want you to try something for me. Take a sip of this.

Garak: What is it?

Quark: A human drink. It’s called root beer.

Garak: I don’t know.

Quark: Come on. Aren’t you just a little bit curious?

Quark: What do you think?

Garak: It’s vile.

Quark: I know. It’s so bubbly and cloying and happy.

Garak: Just like the Federation.

Quark: But you know what’s really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it.

Garak: It’s insidious.

Quark: Just like the Federation.

milkisklim , to Ask Science in What (non-human) surface organism tends to burrow the deepest into the Earth?

This is still a fun question and I am learning!

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Star Trek legend Jonathan Frakes says TNG cast were “Rude” on set

Respectfully to the other person that replied to you…No, what you did was correct. It’s important to keep the title the same as you are sharing not editorializing.

Perfect!

milkisklim , to Star Trek in Paramount Plus just dropped its big Star Trek crossover episode early

Lower decks is pretty good. Although like all trek, the first season takes a few episodes to get its pacing right.
