mycatiskai , to Work Reform in The Las Vegas Strip Could Be the Site of the Largest Hospitality Strike in U.S. History, 35,000 Workers Ready to Strike Days Before Las Vegas’s Big Formula 1 Kick-Off Weekend

May day for the world.

mycatiskai , (edited ) to Work Reform in De-escalation

There was an interview on TYT with a former Baltimore cop who was a former military member. He talked about how bad the police who hadn’t been military were at discipline and high stress situations. He also talked a lot about how they had to drive to the poor black areas of town to get their ticketing done because they get in trouble if they gave out a lot of tickets in the white areas of town.

Just wanted to add the link to a clip of the interview. youtu.be/GV3Ctz8pfeU?si=odmV37RbcVcF2rRS

mycatiskai , to Work Reform in Nonunion autoworkers are watching the UAW — and deciding whether they want in

It would be hilarious if the non union plant that Trump visited, while certain outlets said he was visiting striking workers, ended up unionizing after they see a good deal being negotiated by UAW.

mycatiskai , to Star Trek in Canon-friendly Klingon flags that I can fly publicly?

Was recently at Disney world and in the Star Wars area there was only one small store with only Empire/First Order stuff and dozen or so places with 90% Rebel Alliance.

I don’t think there is much ambiguity in Star wars that the Empire/First Order is the bad guys and have no redeeming qualities

The Cardassians are the literal fascists of the Star Trek universe. Might not be good to associate with the species that is intensely nationalistic while you live in a country that has laws against displaying fascist symbols.

mycatiskai , to Work Reform in McDonald's franchisee group says new $20 minimum wage California fast-food bill will cause 'devastating financial blow'

It will be ever so devastating for their employees to actually be able to afford a meal at their own restaurant.

Whatever will they do with all of these new customers that are also their own employees.

mycatiskai , to Work Reform in Class catastrophe

Maybe the rain is the tax burden by income. The umbrellas are subsidies so the rich defer most taxes until the point where they get subsidized. The upper class get smaller subsidies hence the smaller umbrella. The middle class have a high burden of the taxes and the lower class are totally drowning under tax burdens. Only those below the poverty line aren’t shown on here.
