I was able to run iperf3 between both computers, and that worked exactly as expected....
I run 120TB on a VM with 2 cores and 2gb of ram. Data storage is not very hardware intensive. Now serving the data to dozens of users is where you’re going to have issues.
Does a (phone|laptop) charger plugged in the socket but not connected to the device still consume electricity?
And if so, how much? Less, same or more than if it was actually charging something?...
