Does anyone here have the Eaglemoss Enterprise D dedication plaque? If so, did you figure out a way to mount it on the wall? ( lemmy.world )

I can’t figure it out. It isn’t huge, but it’s heavy. Specs are 9 x 2 x 12 inches - ‎1.52 pounds. And it’s totally smooth on the back. Nowhere to put a hook. Has anyone figured out a way to do it?...

We really need the follow Captain Seven series. Episodic in a similar way to Strange New Worlds with the option for longer story arcs where needed 🙂🤷‍♂️

Please bear with me while I geek out about Edith Keeler in "The City on the Edge of Forever" for a moment.

It almost feels unnecessary to rave about “The City on the Edge of Forever” (S1E28) again, since it has been praised as one of the all-time best episodes of Star Trek for like 50+ years now, but I just rewatched it and want to specifically talk about how much I love the character Edith Keeler....

They are interconnected in much the same way that the Japanese invasion of Manchuria 1931 and the Spanish Civil War of 1936 and expansion of Japanese conquests into China in 1937 are preludes to the outbreak of WWII in 1939.

Incidentally the Second American Civil War is set to start in 2026 and Irish Reunification in 2024.

Interesting times ahead 🫤🤦‍♂️

So much better Sci-fi out there that would be amazing for a TV series or three.

Personally I work love to have a go at the Greg Mandel series or if I had all the money the Honor Harrington series.

Indeed but even for the good writers like Asimov not everything they write can be turnes into a movie or TV series.

For some it probably shouldn't be attempted.

I don't know which volumes you read in the series or which side series you've read but that's not an accurate description of the series.

Also Starship Troopers isn't a parody of SciFi is a parody of fascism.
