Elon Musk’s improbable path to making X an “everything app”

X must do more than tack on new features if it wants WeChat's success.

StefenHudson ,

@arstechnica Twitter/X pretty much lost me as a regular user when Musk decided it would be a good idea to destroy accessibility by firing the entire accesibility team and dooing away with third party clients. It's all about money. People dont' matter. Don't be fooled by his BS.

@arstechnica Why would we ever need an “everything app”? What would even be the point of that? Besides, Twitter’s losing users and struggling to retain users anyway thanks to Elon’s terrible decisions, so more likely it’ll soon become a “nothing app” instead. Nobody will be using it other than bots, MAGA chuds, and scam advertisers.

@arstechnica Was WeChat successful outside China by any chance?

@arstechnica making the app unappealing to most everyone was intentional. The government isn't going to prop up his xitty little scam to give it the illusion that he has any idea that he knows what he is doing.
