I know that it was overshadowed by Trump's lawyers arguing that presidents should be able to murder political opponents, but I don't think I'll ever get over Clarence Thomas hearing a case related to Jan 6 knowing that his wife was an active participant in the attempted coup.

@rbreich Thomas is going to find that it will end badly for his Bride...

@rbreich well if trump thinks leaders should be allowed to get rid of bad ones then trump n gang and a few supreme court judges should go since they are dangerous to many

@davidcorbett@mastodon.social avatar

@rbreich yep 3 on supreme court should not be there and should allow 2/3 of the states supreme court judges to be able to override any bad rulings of supreme court

@rbreich You are misinformed if you still believe the fairy tale that the FBI setup on Jan 6 was a coup.

@rbreich I guess the right response from our Constitutional system should be for him to be impeached. He has and is clearly violating his Oath, and if anyone deserves the remedy of impeachment, the only available remedy short of his resignation or death, it's Clarence.
Some US Congressperson needs to introduce such articles of impeachment, and the Senate should face the compulsory vote on it. We had the time to do it to a Homeland Security Secretary for far less substantial reasons.
But nobody will, because "that would be premature" according to Conventional Wisdom.
Who exactly decides when it is not premature ? Surely we don't wait until we have the votes ?

THAT is a real diaster or netter should be for him.

I'm not sure if no one dared to indict her for this or if there is other reasons but SC last decisions would surely look different if Ginni need to go to trial.

@rbreich

Is there any person in the history of the world who has spent more money on lawyers than the orange buffoon?

Only skill is lying a lot. Not well, but a LOT. Terrible liar, but so many lies against so many walls that some of them stick, at least for a while. Bad lies, but even worse is the projection...

@rbreich

How did it come to this? When I was an insignificant local elected official, I'd recuse myself from votes on matters brought to the county by a donor. Even a $20 donor. All of us did that.

This man has no integrity. None. He is an insult to the people he is sworn to serve and an embarrassment to the court. He should be impeached.
