EV sales slowdown is mostly a Tesla problem, according to sales data

Almost every other automaker is seeing double-digit EV sales growth.

Ditch Space-Junk-Karen and things will eventually improve.

Very interesting!
It's always good to realise that one brand can monopolise data and distort the way we're seeing things.

@arstechnica I can't imagine why people might be buying fewer Teslas and instead prefer companies that don't have obnoxious, toxic, openly facist CEOs!

Total mystery!

They're a very common sight in my garage. Best car I've ever bought. 😁

@arstechnica Their latest model has a full recall against it, they have nothing in the pipeline and explicitly swore off any cheaper models.

Tesla, the entire company, is dying thanks to Musk personally. People need to stop giving him money.

Musk, thinking about a pivot to coal

(to capture the "rolling coal" segment of the market, as well as Trump administration subsidies)

@arstechnica the lease of our ID.3 is nearing it's end. For the next car we need a tow hook and some towing capacity. Not much, but some timber/lumber for renovations and such.

Tesla is not in the race. Never was.

@arstechnica This questions the idea that Elon Musk is a once-in-a-generation genius. As this goes against my biases, I dismiss it out of hand, and assert that Teslas are selling really well AND are being paid for in dogecoin BECAUSE number goes up is a good idea WHICH DOES NOT look anything like a meaningless inflationary bubble.

Elon Musk accepted funding from a fossil fuel industry desperate to thwart EV's.

What did Musk think would happen, when he got into bed with an industry frying the planet & willing to let a billion die of famine by 2050?

And we have seen stories of "EV hiding" - both sales and hiding stock. I think geniuses at car companies are 'gaming the system' taking payments from EXXON. Seriously. But this is a rant, I only have the articles, the data and past behaviour.
