@arstechnica It’s not about the apps. It’s the hardware. People do not want these things on their face. It’s such an obvious step backwards from the tiny smartphone.
If the tech ever arrives to put this in a pair of prescription glasses, it’ll be great. Until then, it’s just bad tech.

@arstechnica The variable width single-track roads in my neck of the woods have new white line paint to mark the road edge. It's made the lane keeping assist function actually dangerous. Hate the setting but have to switch it off every time the car restarts.
@arstechnica in my Audi, when one of the lane lines disappears, the Lane Keep Assist assumes that I’ve crossed it, and nudges the car the opposite direction. Very annoying, and potentially dangerous
