Same here, it's fun and has the spirit of the "striving for a better future" optimism that we all know and love. Great writing. We are living in a real golden age of Trek right now, what a time to be alive.

TootSweet ,

How is the musical episode so damned good?!

(Except for the one Klingon scene. They could have just made it Klingon opera and it would have been so much better.)

acockworkorange ,

They wouldn’t be mad with opera though.

The Klingon scene was easily my favourite moment of that episode, reaction was a millisecond of complete surprise followed by splitting of sides

I’m not a very picky Star Trek fan in that I have enjoyed all of the Star Trek TV shows to some extent, but I grew up with TOS and so TOS will always be the Star Trek I fell in love with.

Strange New Worlds hearkening back to the days of TOS but also having fresh and original takes? I can’t ask for more!

proudblond ,

It’s a much happier existence, not being picky. I’m with you.

Landmammals ,

I’m grateful for SNW. For years people told me “Discovery isn’t a bad show, you just don’t like new Star Trek”.

cybervseas ,

Pike’s hair can get anyone into Star Trek.
