    It mostly only happens when the protestors are unarmed. If even a single person at that protest open carried a rifle in a legal fashion (no brandishing), the cops would walk eggshells.

    Liberals AND leftists need to seriously get over their fear of guns and stop supporting legislation to restrict them, even start voting to remove restrictions. Otherwise one side is more armed and ready for violence than the other side.

    I don't want my taxes, that I work hard to pay for, going to fund the free meals and shelter for a piece of shit human refuse that does not deserve to exist.

    Please help explain to me why you think I'm wrong here, I am genuinely open for you to present an argument to change my mind.

    Is it because you think this hypothetical unrehabilitatable pedophile is still capable of change? Or do you think it's a harsher punishment for them to continue their live in confinement?

    I'm not bothered by it being federated with kbin, and if I don't like it, I should be able to ban the whole domain on my account on kbin. So I hope he doesn't give in to peer pressure to preemptively defederate with them before I can see what they are about.

    Having the freedom to make my own choices like a fucking adult is why I'm here instead of Lemmy.

    It is an open secret that the Lemmy developers are tankies and support fascism. By using their software, you appear in their population counts and essentially endorse those views by proxy.

    kbin is developed by one Polish guy doing his best.

    Is this only happening for Boost?

    Unlike previous attempts at trying reddit alternatives (like Voat), kbin and much of the lemmyverse doesn’t seem to be plagued with extreme far right buffoonery. ( kbin.social )

    It’s one thing to have differing views, but I’ve seen enough attempted reddit migrations to be relieved that the popular communities in the fediverse so far haven’t been about crazy racist stuff or other extreme right bullshit....

    I once said in the World News subreddit during the initial days of Russia invading Ukraine "fuck Russia. Also fuck China" and made it clear I was talking about their governments, and was banned. I also commented in Old School Cool subreddit a benign mention that OP's mom was attractive and got banned. I also told the mods of another subreddit that allowed comments on how to encourage violence at drag shows (can't remember where now) they were fascist pieces of shit, no mincing of words, and literally had an account ban from reddit due to too many strikes.

    I can tell fascists and tankies here to go fuck themselves here consistently without fear of reprisal by a fat unemployed useless mentally retarded moderator on a power trip.

    Fuck reddit and it's inconsistent censorship.

    I feel like less of a man because of how emotionally sensitive I am.

    You're good bro. Having emotional depth means you are capable of a larger spectrum of experiences that other men can't relate. Embrace it, because you can feel a level of joy looking at a sunset or exhilaration driving a sports car on a track or extasy eating a perfect steak, at higher orders of magnitude more than other men.

    This simply solidifies my opinion that I've had all along that Beehaw is a trash instance full of sensitive censor-happy ninnies and I hope they all resolve the issues they are having to eventually be finally free from trolls and assholes in their humble & beautiful walled-garden paradise echo chamber.
