Not to mention, little jimmy can steal his dad’s drivers license pretty easily.

Having an AI spit out a response is how you train an AI to get better. That would just result in an AI arms race, and horny teens have a lot more manpower and free time.

It’s been shown multiple times before that there’s no technological reason you can’t put someone in the buffer and take two out. Thomas and William are proof of this.

The Voyager crew likely had access to the records of the Thomas case, having happened a decade earlier. Though I admit I don’t know if the information would have been classified or withheld for some reason.

Assuming they had the information, they could have likely attempted a duplication, and unmerge one of the two resulting Tuvix’s.

I found myself so pissed off this wasn’t even considered during the episode. It’s like they just forgot duplication was a possibility, even if it wasn’t a super sure fire solution.

Everyone’s giving actual answers, but I have a question: Are you inebriated?

Retailer Target says it's closing 9 stores due to theft. The crime data tells a different story. ( web.archive.org )

Popular Information analyzed publicly available crime data for the stores Target is closing in New York and San Francisco. This data reveals that stores that are being closed have lower levels of theft than nearby stores that have remained open. An analysis of the stores Target is shuttering in the Seattle area follows a similar...

Target has one of the most comprehensive shoplifter detection systems in place. It rivals law enforcement in its ability to track thieves across all their stores.

I don’t believe the claim of shrink being the issue. There’s virtually no way it’s the root cause.

Why would anyone ever use self signed certs? Buy a cheap ass domain, and use LetsEncrypt to get a free cert.

Hard disagree. As long as you have any machine with internet access it’s trivial, even more so if you can use DNS challenge.

At the point of running your own CA with infrastructure in place to support it, I wouldn’t really call that “self signing.”

I get that it technically is, since you’re not going through an external CA, but really it’s like calling a companies Datacenter “self hosted” because it’s on their own hardware. Technically the truth, but not what is generally meant. 😜

Imagine taking obvious hyperbole at face value.

Braga: ‘I still cringe when I hear it.’ Apparently, it was a long road to the franchise’s most despised title music ( www.slashfilm.com )

Working from the oral history in The Five Year Mission: The next 25 years, this is a fascinating deep dive that answers the question “How did a recycled cover of a 1998 song written for Rod Stewart, ‘Where My Heart Will Take Me’ aka ‘Faith of the Heart’ become the title music for Enterprise?”...

Yeah, I agree it was quite an odd pairing and it never quite sat right with me. I get the intent/meaning, but honestly it stands out as just… not fitting with the trek “theme.”

We only found it because I searched “Star Trek” in Stremio. Literally no whisper before or after that until I heard about the cancellation.
