I could have told you that in a 1-page report.

Dollar General is not a “dollar store”. It just happens to have the word “dollar” in the name. They are a normal general store whose bread and butter are poor neighborhoods or far enough out in the sticks that Walmart won’t build.

BS. They said the same thing about $15, then COVID forced it on them (and presumably also raised their own costs for supplies), and it’s been fine. I think my McDs charges 1.25 for a soda now instead of a dollar.

If management can’t do better than place “warm bodies”, I’d say management is overpaid.

These all have to be after-tax numbers or there is definitely no way.

I’m confused. I’m not a Sheeran fan at all, and definitely fuck scabs, but in this case, it seems the employees are all working. In other words, he didn’t cross a picket line to go work a shift. This seems like sensationalist bs.

It seems very purposefully positioned, but shoddy work. I’m wondering if it was to brace up a sag in the roofline. In other words, removing it might cause you a problem even if the whole roof doesn’t collapse. Seems like it would be safe to move it to the other side of the lighter beam, or right up against it. I would put one on the other side of the opening as well so as not to recreate whatever original problem that was trying to fix.

Pipes knocking around 120bpm

I have a very odd issue that I can’t solve, perhaps someone here could help. The pipe attached to my main shutoff valve is emitting a soft knocking sound at around 120 beats per minute. The sound persists as long as there is any amount of pressure, and I can feel it in the pipe nearby as well as in the valve handle itself. The...

Might be caused by sediment in your hot water heater (assuming you are using a tank water heater). If you’re not familiar, there are tons of articles out there on how to clean it out.

A secondary concern is that you seem to have hot water moving through the system when you don’t expect it. Do you have any water circulators on the house on faucets (so you get instant hot water at faucets?). That could explain it. Otherwise, you might have a leak somewhere.
