Its not supposed to be the police that metes out the punishment. They have a historically bad track record on the matter

During COVID Some of us were “essential workers” and others got to complain about being stuck at home. But that was a minor gripe of mine. I would argue that arguing that people belonging to different strata of working class is about as useful as separating people by race. For the most part any conversation that doesn’t specify the need for the separation there is only one human race, and there is only the working class against the owning class.

Ok, what i get from her is there should be first the person. All other descriptors, with a focus here on one’s gender, should not be a factor in how one should be evaluated nor evaluate others. That positive masculinity will not work because it still presents hurdles and still tries to define a mans place in society.

However she really shot her own argument early in the video. Casting Rocky as the example of unattainable and toxic masculinity was the wrong interpretation of the first movie, and not laying her argument against positive masculinity early enough lost a lot of viewers before she could really make her point. Also the unnecessary dig at the men at the mens retreat was unnecessary and punches down. Don’t believe me? Read the comments. A lot jumped ship and do not tackle the message she tried to convey.

As for the argument, it seems that she argues that one should worry more about being the best person and not worry about fulfilling a gendered quota, though kinda harms that view in the video too.

It took a long time to get to the thesis. Its true, there was not much added to the over all conversation, which made it hard to form a response. And it feels like she is demonstrating there is a problem and attacking a possible solution, without having one thats better. Sure if all of society was different we could solve the issue, but the question is how. Men and women are treated differently and those who do not conform differently still. Positive role models that epitomize traditional male goals and standards are not bad as long as it comes with understanding for those who do not walk the same path.

I see. Last man with his job in tact wins the debate!

I take this as another unwarranted dig at Apollo.
