I love this wild west phase of the Fediverse! Feels like the good ole days of the Internet. Onwards!

He’s showing us the snoot, the whole snoot, and nothing but the snoot. So help him God.

That was awesome, thanks for the recommendation! Really reminds me how much I love my city

Yeah, hearing about Coal Harbour rents would probably do the same to me

Oh, I know it! Definitely agree about the COL, wish it wasn’t so damned expensive here

I think the answer will be just as depressing :/

Hint: ends with _oney, and starts with M.

UBlock Origin on Android in FF is a killer feature for the app! It’s been such a blessing browsing what are usually ad-infested mobile blogs and sites. Adding ghostery to the mix is just :chefs-kiss:

You don’t need both of them. I use ghostery in addition to uBO because it includes features like automated cookie consent banner management.

Imgur links suck ( kbin.social )

Most Fediverse software supports image uploads, so there's no reason to use Imgur for image hosting. Hell, even on my small single-user server (atomicpoet.org), image hosting is easy peasy. Not only is Imgur not needed, they're an annoyance for those of us who are used to seeing images natively on the Fediverse....

I suppose if you wanted to be really certain your uploaded images would remain under your control, you could post them to a PixelFed instance and point it to your own domain like images.mydomain.com. That way you could always redirect them if your PixelFed instance goes down.

Whoa, feels like he was just 3 months old a minute ago! How quickly they grow 🥲

Tangent, but I just noticed that I couldn’t post from Connect for Lemmy with a language_not_allowed error, and even in the web UI, I couldn’t post without selecting a language from the dropdown. Anybody know if this is a community setting or something else?
