I’ve only seen the cross-over episode on SNW, It’s very much not my sense of humour but I’m happy for there to be more types of shows for more people, so long as I get my TNG style shows.

I see references of previous Starfleet officers such as Worf or Captain Sysco;

With Worf the writers where careful to create a scenario where it was known and out in the open, that the only Federation law he broke was leaving the ship without authority, which he was officially reprimanded over. The actions he took on the Klingon vessel were considered lawful in and of itself.

Captain Sysco’s may be more relevant and example, but to me it felt more like a necessary decision for the benefit of future outcomes. To compare this to SNW S02E08, I don’t feel they outlined that he was a future threat to anyone, that being said I am undecided on the Sysco comparison.

I have also seen reference to Captain Picard’s assimilation, but to me that one is not appropriate as it was against his will.

It’s not my cup of tea, but when I wanted an episodic story of the week show, I understood that variety would include content for other fans as well and I won’t always have an episode that is just to my taste.

It’s seems like a logical episode after having watched The Naked Now/Time and I know it’s a matter of taste which I’m happy for those who will enjoy it.

I’ve had to download higher quality episodes as the lighting has made higher compression unviewable.

It will likely be similar to TOS S01E04 & TNG S01E03.

I believe Season 1&2 had more good than bad, even with the obscene Klingons, but after that I strongly dislike it, and that’s from someone who liked Enterprise the first time I saw it.

The one thing I wish they’d do is go back and refilm the Klingon scenes for future viewers.

I thought we’d get a reverse Breaking Bad like arch for the main character to evolve into the future captain, instead they worked hard to make them not suitable so they could have the person who was captain just say at the end of the season, ‘youre the true captain’ with no justification or attempt to mak sense.

This post implies that there is something wrong with this community, which in itself is the people in it, which I guess includes me.

Do you have a reference to comments having been removed? I’m on mobile and can’t see the modlog.

Personally I’d prefer to be on the main community than splintered on one that was likely made by someone who wanted their own mod authority.

I was watching Peak Performance as you commented.

Yes, first season it was jarring, this season she feels more like an original character.

The removal from the service thing is the most absurd part of these announcements, that was the benefit of VOD, that we could access what we wanted.

Shows have gotten cancelled when they are popular and on a cliff-hanger throughout the last 60 years, but the removal thing is new and a massive decline from the accessibility improvements that were made over the last 15 years.

Fortunately for me, my personal server doesn’t have this issue.

I’ve heard a number of people interpret it about themselves, which is really good, the allegory was understandable while still being a cohesive story.

I plan to get thru them eventually, I have only completed Enterprise as it was shorter.

I am about 1/4 of the way thru each VOY, TNG & DS9.

I could understand people being disappointed that TNG was over and feeling that the replacement wasn’t as great, but in itself watching it 10 years later I enjoyed it for the most part.
