That heat is kinda overshadowed by the giant ass ball of fusion shitting metric shit tons of energy at us.

It got a bit technical in the middle. Hit me up if you need that ELI:5.

Sacrifice the arm. It's lived a good life.

And praise them when they return. If you yell at our punish them, they'll associate it with returning rather than running off.

On an open, straight road, a giant tortoise can actually hit quite reasonable speed. ( lemmy.world )

(Not my image, so I didn't actually measure this buddy's speed, sorry. I don't know where this was actually taken or what tortoise species this is. This may LOOK like a left hand drive country, but do the tortoises know the traffic laws? ...that's another matter, you know.)

meco03211 ,

But what type of speed are we talking? Is it a normal human walking pace? Running?

meco03211 ,

It is a gif. That's how fast he's moving.

I went to replace an outlet in my garage. Opened it up. The hot and neutral wires were just straight through the box. In through the top and out the bottom in one solid piece of wire each. A portion in the middle had been stripped and looped around the screws.

I just can’t imagine that being up to code. Granted I’ve not actually dug into whether or not that’s correct. Just an assumption.

Can you keep a secret? I kept my outlet the same way too.

What mechanism is the source for Earth's Nitrogen?

I recall an explanation of the formation of Jovian moons on the Harvard Smithsonian “CfA Colloquium” YT channel that casually mentioned how various elements freeze out of the solar wind forming ices, and this is the mechanism that allows formation of moons with large amounts of water and elements that are not found in larger...

This says most of earth’s nitrogen was present when earth formed. The nitrogen cycle eventually leads to atmospheric nitrogen which can be stripped by solar winds except earth has a magnetosphere that shields us. So planets with no or a weak induced magnetosphere lose nitrogen. Earth does not.

Remember Ann Coulter bemoaned women’s suffrage for costing trump 2020. I’d assume some of that 45% know who he is and are either brainwashed themselves or think they stand to benefit from his rhetoric.

If you’re particularly handy and not particular on perfection you could try removing and reshaping it. Heat gun and some clamps could do wonders. If it cools or sets a little long, trim to fit. Too short, caulk.
