One time years ago when my father worked for a Birds of Prey rehabilitation center he brought home Daisy the Barn Owl. (She had been imprinted at birth and was thus a resident of the center) It was after a meeting late at night so he took her out to show our dog. My dad being a goof let her stretch her wing and then she hooted at the dog.
His response (which let us know we’d definitely be safe from a home invasion) was to tear ass into my parents bedroom where my mother was sleeping and shit himself.
Dad got in trouble for that one…Daisy was cool but the screech owls he’d bring home on the weekends sometimes were the best.
One school on the district didn’t meet standards and a bunch of goddamn morons took over the school district got rid of libraries to make detention rooms. Sounds like a recipe for success. Solid 20 dollars the district is majority minority groups and the take over is a bunch of white Republicans.
Where as I don’t disagree with the timing being retaliatory, my parents have similar trees and my father had me do that just before he passed away. I was convinced I was killing the trees and turns out their canopy is larger than ever now, so it might not be terrible for trees, but still timing is bullshit.
This reminds me of the Chain gang in the Paul Newman movie Cool Hand Luke. They are working on roads in hot Florida weather and have to ask the boss for water or to take their shirt off or basically to do any autonomous function.
Are the same petty mods running this show? If so, please ban me immediately. I don’t see how you can reconcile claiming to fight labor exploitation while at the same time giving away your labor for free to a billion dollar company.
