Lyft and Uber said they will cease operations in Minneapolis after the city’s council voted Thursday to override a mayoral veto and require that ride-hailing services increase driver wages to the equivalent of the local minimum wage of $15.57 an hour....
First it goes into the water, then it goes to the ground, which normally filters it very well. BUT if this is generally a polluted area, and also depending on the composition of the earth, it may not filter it at all. We assume that there’s some filtering though.
Now it gets really country-dependent. Some countries filter the tap water very well, some adds chlorine to ‘cleanse’ it, and some may not do a very good job entirely.
I’m no expert in which countries around the world do what, but it’s probably something you can look up for your area.
Generally though, it’s worse for you to inhale (unless the water is just polluted in other ways)
So, I learned in physics class at school in the UK that the value of acceleration due to gravity is a constant called g and that it was 9.81m/s^2. I knew that this value is not a true constant as it is affected by terrain and location. However I didn’t know that it can be so significantly different as to be 9.776 m/s^2 in...
It’s too much for everyone, unless your work is your life.
In jobs where 8 hours are no problem, you usually have some periods of time, where you can shut off your brain. Driving to a new location, frequent breaks in the office or practical duties for some variation.
Corporate desk jobs are awful longer than 6-7 hours.
This is a battle the voice actors won’t win, unfortunately. Maybe today, their voices are iconic. You can’t make a new Frozen movie or any other Disney Pixar without the original voice actor (you can, but it’s bad).
But in the future, the next “voice actor” for the next big Disney Pixar hit, is a pure AI from the start. Then they can control the voice forever. And that’s what they want.
I can’t see how the voice actors could possibly get around this, because they are suddenly expendable.
