@rbreich what separation? Presidential candidates are always asked about their faith and it seems to be a huge deal to most Americans if they don't believe.
Americans like the sound of 'separation between church and state' but they balk at having a non believing president.
No religion will be tolerated in a year or two with Team Nazi.
They'll start with no marriages that aren't also blessed as Christian-Accepted.
Then they'll toss people into pens then ovens then pits. Again.
@rbreich did those clever dudes specify the orientation of their idolatry? face-to-the-wall creates a space for fan fiction. mirror-reversed allows for easy translitering from king james-bonics to maybe-brew. upside down does offer a different ordering of the same set, allowing two sorts for sodomy and murder, one is worse than the other, or the other way round. finally, there is off-center, or drunk in public, which seems at least as correct as any other display form.
oh, is it in hebrew, aramic, greek, latin, or yankee doodle speak?
@rbreich
that is government establishing a mandatory religion.
Only 4 of them could arguably be considered simply ethical guidelines:
Don't:
Lie
Steal
Kill
And
Honor your parents
All of the rest are various demands to believe in, obey, and worship a specific mythical being. Christians, Muslims, and Jews all respect those, or purport to. Over 40% of the world's population do not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_religious_groups
@rbreich These "Talibangelicals" have taken over Louisiana and ready to shove their version of authoritarian "religion" down everyone's throat. And I imagine they are gleefully aware of now being the ruling "status quo", as least in Louisiana.
This absolutely IS unconstitutional and it will never stand. It's just more grandstanding and rage-pandering by a fake-crischin politician.
I'm fucking tired of hearing about their kindergarten asshattery. They are ridiculous and pathetic.
@rbreich How many commandments has Trump broken? By Louisiana (which used to be La Nouvelle France until Napoleon I sold it on the cheap) new law Trump should not be eligible for POTUS. I actually am in awe of the hypocrisy because it's just nonsense to anyone with an IQ above 10.
@rbreich Nauseating cowardice of the governor of Louisiana in his caving to the religionists. Free us from them and their perverted sense of entitlement.
