While you can follow across the Fediverse, no matter the platform, not all kinds of cross platform follows make sense imo. I personally wouldn’t follow Lemmy stuff from my Mastodon because it can get really floody. I also wouldn’t generally follow Mastodon accounts from Pixelfed, or Lemmy from Pixelfed. It’s really great that you can, but sometimes it’s better to just make an account on the specific platform instead.

    People who build their own PCs but run Windows baffle me. I find it confusing when people who build their own computers opt for Windows as their operating system. If you have the knowledge to assemble a computer, why not take advantage of the freedom that Linux provides? You can play games using Linux and enjoy a more open and customizable experience.     @nixCraft As a Linux user I find this sort of mentality reductive and unhelpful.
    Linux still has A LOT of valid issues even for technically minded folks that part of the community is happy to ignore or blame on someone else rather than challenging the gatekeepy status quo of some enthusiasts.

    Gentle reminder to everyone that support for ends in about 90 weeks. Many computers can't upgrade to Win 11 so here are your options:

    1. Continue on Win 10 but with higher security risks.
    2. Buy new and expensive hardware that supports Win11.
    3. Try a beginner friendly distro like . It only takes about two months to acclimate.
