@kde That's why I love KDE:
It has cute mascot
It is minimalistic
It is beautiful
It has a big amount of features
It has a big amount of good apps
It can tweaked
It's been fairly stable as I would expect from an LTS. There's LOT of hiccups with whatever is happening in the tray area (power and battery sometimes doesn't work).
Language is pretty screwed up. I speak both English/Spanish in a Spanish location. Installer chooses half spanish and english in the /etc/locale, and has issues changing it in the frontend.
Overall nothing I can't fix as I put stability overall
Just finished setting up Arch, KDE, exclusively with Arch and AUR packages. No Flatpaks, Snaps, or Appimages. This probably doesn’t seem like much, definitely not the most productive to many, but to me this took a lot of work, I’m proud of myself and wanna share that....
May I ask, if you don’t mind, why did you go for all the troubles of arch and kde and the setup, when there’s already kde neon fully set up or even Manjaro distro? Is it because arch base is somehow better than neon’s Ubuntu base?
By the way, it looks slick and beutifull and in time you’ll gradually tweak it to be the best productivity machine for you!
After this second Beta, there will be two Release Candidates, one on the 10th and the other on the 31st of January. All these releases are not final, they are for testing and should not be used in production...
Install updates from Discover without password ?
Is that possible ?...

Do you also configure the feedback to send everything? ( programming.dev )
Current KDE desktop on Arch. Not much, definitely not super productive, but very nice for what I want. ( lemmy.kde.social )
