I just had a look at his profile, and wow, I wouldn't call him "super right-wing." I'd call him a loonie. Fortunately most of the magazines he's squatting on have similarly loonie names and I doubt there'll be much call to use them for anything productive. Maybe Graphene and Fluoride might be useful for serious posts someday, but they're pretty special-interest for the size of the Fediverse right now.
Personally, I have a pretty low bar for blocking other users here. If I find someone consistently annoying or negativistic I'm better off not seeing their posts, even if they're not actively trolling. It's not a public punishment or anything, they won't be affected at all, and I get to spend less time reading content that doesn't interest me.
There really does need to be a limit of how many magazines you're allowed to moderate. There's no way you can effectively moderate 59 different communities.
Just wait until 3001 AD and the ban will expire. Since he's clearly not a fan of transhumanism or other such fields of study he probably won't still be around then to extend it.
I'm not the biggest fan of public voting over here. I have a feeling in the long run it will cause way too much conflict. I've already had a run in with someone over here because I downvoted them and I'm not a super active user.
On the other hand it's kinda funny to see when someone has clearly trawled your profile and reduced everything based on reading a conversation from a week ago.
It's also really good when you're having a discussion and getting 1 downvote each time, to be able to just look to see whether it's the person you're having the conversation with.
Occasionally people are not enjoying a discussion but instead of ending it they passive-aggressively downvote, and if I figure that out, I can just end the conversation and release them from their misery.
I just looked through the communities they mod. Unless you are dying to engage with illegalimigration, mixedrace, revelation, askconspiracytheorists, antiwitchcraft, fluoride, chemtrails, or newworldorder, I don't think anything of value was lost.
Picture taken through a Viltrox 35mm 1.8f on a Sony A7-C then edited with Snapseed on my phone. I enjoyed taking and editing it, hope you's enjoy looking at it!
Constructive criticism is welcomed!
White pine is terrible for burning so I’d not do firewood myself.
Lots of knots and compression wood with that grow type. Too many knots for anything structural and you may not even get enough clear spans without cracks at the compression lines to do a decent bench even.
You’ll get some serious warp and cupping even with it being kiln dried, air dry will be a bit of a nightmare. I think my milk would just chip something like this.
If it’s sentimental use I’d probably disc it to make rustic end tables or set them in dirt for a lawn path. The other option I can think of would be to rough it into 6x6 ish chunks up to 3 feet long. Chuck it in your attic for a year. Then learn wood carving and make a bird or something.
Strictly, no. Cropped mirror-shot selfies are more Instagram than photography. Appropriate for social media and sharing with friends, but not (on their own) a good representation of the art form.
But you are cute. And I'm not trying to hurt your self-esteem. Just understand you'll be getting a lot of down votes.
