Attention people in Southern California! KDE is coming to town (to set up a booth a SCaLE21x).
Come visit us at @socallinuxexpo at the Pasadena Convention Center, enjoy some talks, meet KDE contributors, marvel at our technological... er... marvels, and have a good time!
and i use #sailfishos as a daily driver, have done so for years, full functionality and everyday #mobilelinux with a great community, but I still tinker and love to try other Android-free ideas.
While you can follow across the Fediverse, no matter the platform, not all kinds of cross platform follows make sense imo. I personally wouldn’t follow Lemmy stuff from my Mastodon because it can get really floody. I also wouldn’t generally follow Mastodon accounts from Pixelfed, or Lemmy from Pixelfed. It’s really great that you can, but sometimes it’s better to just make an account on the specific platform instead.
You did it! 1,000 followers 🥳 As promised a 30 Euro donation to the KDE e.V.! Thank you to all the followers for making this possible. Here's to an awesome 2024 for KDE!
Also this release is coming with a lot of your contributions! Thanks to everyone!
There are general improvements, bugfixing and support for systemd and nvidia, but also new flags/features!
Be aware that this release breaks some backward compatibility so you'll need to re-export your bins/apps, read the changelog for a oneliner to fix this!
@nixCraft As a Linux user I find this sort of mentality reductive and unhelpful.
Linux still has A LOT of valid issues even for technically minded folks that part of the community is happy to ignore or blame on someone else rather than challenging the gatekeepy status quo of some enthusiasts.
For users of any operating system, not just #Linux, what might keep you from trying/running an #immutable#Fedora desktop? If you are already running one, why did you choose it?
@Patuleia@revk#AltText two people battling with light sabres, the sabres are crossed, the red sabre is a slash down from the left, the blue sabre is a slash up from the left.
@szescstopni@Patuleia I’m impressed how well AI gets the alt: Image of two characters from a popular sci-fi movie franchise clashing lightsabers, with text humorously comparing the specifying of file paths in Linux/Mac and Windows operating systems.
