$19 is fucking nothing. Minimum wage adjusted for inflation would have been around $26 an hour several years ago. That’s just a liveable wage. Wage increases are supposed to be from the bottom up. Pretty much guaranteed if you aren’t an exec who needs the amount they earn slashed you are underpaid.

Largely the insane costs are the fault of insurance companies, albeit yes they collude with the hospitals to keep costs high so people need insurance.
