I’ll be honest, I understand the college student’s point of view because for the most part, the teachers in the geneds did not give two fucks about what they were teaching, and I had already learned enough that wasn’t directly relevant to my interests when it was free. Like, seriously, I put up with over a decade of this palpable disinterest in K-12, now I’m paying for the privilege of taking more of it from adjuncts, because the college says I need to buy $20K worth of credits before I can talk to someone who’s actually motivated?

What’s the fucking point of getting homeowner’s insurance if it’s not going to cover the most likely source of damage? Earthquakes, wildfires, floods, a tree falling on it during a storm? All natural disasters. Are people in florida going to ‘accidentally’ set their houses on fire to ensure they’ll be able to file a claim after a hurricane?

    In an ideal world we could automate nonpartisan offices since no human is capable of doing it without bias. Since it’s not an ideal world, I’d prefer judges who lean closer to liberal than conservative, since the conservative ones seem pretty hellbent on marching in lockstep with the Republican party to make marginalized groups more miserable than they already are.
