Man, we need a general journalism fund. I want to pay for quality journalism, but I can’t afford a subscription to every single newspaper out there.

So how about we get an organization created to hold our funds or charge credit cards by the article and we can choose which ones we want to read?

Yeah, but Spotify pays garbage rates. I’d rather it be a non-profit so the money actually goes to the journalists.

Also, I think Canada should hold Spotify to the same cancon rates that radio stations pay if they want to operate here.

Non-profits still pay their employees. The incentive would be to do the right thing. I’d rather my Spotify subscription go to the artists and not be spent on developing an AI DJ no one asked for.

The law is a ten minute break every four hours?? That’s fucking bullshit already!

Where I live it 15 minutes after 2.5 hours if you’re only working 5 hours or less. 2 hours if you’re you’re there all day, but you get your 30-minute lunch after 4 hours, then a fifteen minute break every two hours worked after that.

So much so that I’m at the point where I’m wondering if this show is still canon.

I really like Strange New Worlds. The episodic nature with overarching storylines is the right direction for Star Trek, but really wish they had used this cast to make a show with a new crew in a new ship set post-DS9.

Sure, but they could do literally the exact same show but set further in the future.

When they brought Star Trek back in the 90s we got three great shows that all did their own thing while making callbacks to - but not relying on - the original series.

All of the new shows rely way too much on nostalgia and I just wish they’d move on.

You know, I really tried to like Discovery, but then they tried to be a prequel and a sequel and I just couldn’t do it.

Another Spock sibling we’ve never heard of? 🙄

Strange New Worlds is great, I’d just really like them to stop relying on the nostalgia.
