What’s that? You’re having an opinion on one of our flights?

That’ll be a $34.99 aerial opinion fee; you can pay as you disembark the plane, or, in the future, if you anticipate having an opinion on one of our flights, you can save $5 by paying the fee from your home computer!

Hell yeah. Solidarity forever.

Also, why was Stellantis allowed to be a thing? Can we stop with the fucking monopolistic corporate consolidation for one fucking second (and yes, I know the answer would be “no, because that would be less profitable“)?

Star Trek and The Orville, which is better/worse?

I asked this question sometime ago on The Orville’s subreddit, and surprisingly got mixed responses. I assume most here however, are going to prefer Star Trek, specifically TNG that its aping from. For the record I do prefer TNG as well, but rewatching The Orville, after you get past its kinda sucky first season, I really...

Not to mention, DIS. But that said, SNW and LD are great, and I’d still rank them above Orville.

Also S1E4 imo deserves to be on the list of Best Space Combat Sequences of All Time

It’s incredibly shitty that this situation was allowed to get this bad.

That said: Idaho has been and continues to be overwhelmingly Republican, by close to a 2:1 ratio. This is a policy - and thus implicitly, an outcome - that the majority voted for. This is deep into /c/LeopardsAteMyFace territory.

Lmao the fact that she says that makes me think she’s never met him

"I've never seen anything like it": Economic analyst stunned at sources of Jared Kushner's funds ( www.salon.com )

Economic analyst Steven Rattner on Monday shared a pie chart showing that all but 1% of the $3 billion in investments in former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s private equity firm Affinity Partners came from foreign sources after he “spent much of his White House tenure cozying up” to Saudi Arabia and...

Full disclosure: I identify as very far left; effectively socialist.

Republicans: seriously, and without irony: if you have the evidence, go for it. If he did something shitty and sketchy, he deserves to be caught. But that applies to everyone, not just to people who you don’t like.

Paxton himself said Biden would have won Texas if he hadn’t shut down mail-in voting.

God damn, that would have been a hell of a thing to see.

“We’ve Changed the Game”: Teamsters Win Historic UPS Contract ( teamster.org )

Today, the Teamsters reached the most historic tentative agreement for workers in the history of UPS, protecting and rewarding more than 340,000 UPS Teamsters nationwide. The overwhelmingly lucrative contract raises wages for all workers, creates more full-time jobs, and includes dozens of workplace protections and improvements....

And you know what? If the union vote rejects the deal… that’s organized labor working as intended.

Nothing will change until management/corporate leadership understands that workers can and will bring companies to their knees if they’re not sharing in the success of the company.

Not to mention, the state government seems to be going out of their way to try to make sure only the “right” people vote

Honestly, spez and the Reddit C-suite and board are in the process of finding out that a lot of what made their platform so good and popular was run almost entirely by community power users, enthusiasts, and developers, in addition to all the obvious utility and value that mods provided.

gravitas_deficiency ,

To be fair, I think a lot of people, myself included, are just now realizing precisely that.
