Every time I rewatch an episode I find another Easter egg, it really is Trek by and for Trekkies

FordBeeblebrox ,

I think it matches with the prequel aspect before Starfleet was really a thing, and it matches up beautifully with the montage of Big E’s evolution. DS9 has the best instrumental but ENT’s intro is great.

My grandpa was a reactor monkey on the CVN Enterprise and the primary reason I’m such a huge sci-fi nerd, every time I see Big E in the intro it makes me think of him and hopeful we’ll see NCC-1701 someday.

Prodigy too, first season was fantastic.

You’ve described precisely how I feel about Disco, Trek is supposed to be about the whole team solving problems but somehow in any century…the destiny of the universe is all about her. Remove deus ex Burnham from the show and it could be so much better. Saru, Stamets and all are great, they’re just background to the Michael story.

FordBeeblebrox ,

Never heard of it, thanks for the recommendation 👍

I’m in camp Janeway did nothing wrong, but some things like the doctor in SNW keeping his daughter in the buffer raise questions about just exactly what is being stored and rematerialized. Maybe there was a way to use transporter magic to solve the trolley problem, but the needs of the many and two crew members were already MIA

Considering a large portion of Walmart workers receive food stamps and other benefits due to low income, it would be a huge boost for those folks and lessen demand for assistance on local govts…but nah let’s keep all the money to pay for our drunk driving murder nights.

What the hell is this shit? Instead of pushing for the return to traditional pensions, capitalism is celebrating the idea that Millennials and Gen Z may simply never be able to stop working. ( www.cnbc.com )

Traditionally, retiring entails leaving the workforce permanently. However, experts found that the very definition of retirement is also changing between generations....

As someone between 27 and 42, I love getting shit accomplished but I have never in my life wanted to work

    Looks fine on Voyager

    New Series Watching Plan Feedback

Back in the 90s, I remember watching episodes of Voyager and TNG on our little black-and-white TV and then watched the TOS movies 15 or so years ago. This past summer, I’ve started watching all the series and movies straight through. So far I have watched through all TOS, TAS, and am up through The Final Frontier (I know,...

Prodigy too, currently watching Kobayashi and it’s pure beautiful Trek

    FordBeeblebrox ,

The first couple episodes Rom is a real dick pushing the shit downhill onto Nog but once he goes from basic greedy goblin to engineer savant the dynamic is great

    FordBeeblebrox ,

Quark is also a great foil to the stiff backed Federation ideals that Sisko is always preaching. It’s nice to see life on the station outside of the rules of Starfleet, and the Ferengi episodes became some of my favorites cause it’s heartwarming in a way to see them try so hard, especially Nog. Toss up between Quarks and Ten Forward

    Happy Star Trek Day!

HAPPY STAR TREK DAY!!! I started watching Star Trek last year and I started with TOS, my Star Trek watching has slowed down a bit but I love this franchise and can’t wait to finish TNG! For Star Trek day I’m celebrating by the only tv I’m allowed to watch (unless something huge happens in the world today) will be Star...

TNG, like all Trek shows, takes a little while to find its footing. They were trying to follow the original cast and it took some time, after Riker grows his beard everything gets better and it’s endlessly rewatchable. Currently doing that now in fact before going back to DS9 as the crew of the Enterprise gives way to a whole new set of great characters 🖖

It’s not exactly unheard of technology. Boimler the nerd doesn’t know about solar radiation? The windows are not straight up glass

“I can get stuff I deserve just by asking for it?”

Yeah man, you did the work and saved the ship, ask for your damn pip and better quarters already!

    FordBeeblebrox ,

I’m confused as well, just finished watching it and it ends with “orders, captain?”

    FordBeeblebrox ,

The song and all the versions of big E over the years…that intro is fantastic!

    FordBeeblebrox ,

If the Ferengi could strike and force Quark to treat them like people, surely the humans here on earth deserve the same

    FordBeeblebrox ,

Soap, ballot, ammo. Gotta go through the boxes in order.

    FordBeeblebrox ,

Just stay home and play board games for a week, don’t spend any money.

Things would change quick fast and in a hurry if a hundred million people all just took the end of July off.
