They're not the only way. They could weight the audience scores to match the demographics of the greater population so that the imbalance becomes balanced. They have the data, just not the will.

Exactly, museums don't have a grade for this like that. Most of them make their own figures for displays. So they vary pretty widely.

Farm work has long been excluded from federal protections. In fact, during the fight to pass the New Deal there were two types of work specifically excluded from the reforms passed (like social security). This was at the insistence of Representatives and Senators from Southern states. Anyone want to guess what color skin most of those workers had at the time?

In the US a lot of manufacturers keep as many people as they can as temp workers and just cycle them in and out often enough to avoid having to pay benefits or offer anything other than substandard wages.
