I am owned by several dogs and cats. I have been playing non-computer roleplaying games for almost five decades. I am interested in all kinds of gadgets, particularly multitools, knives, flashlights, and pens.

He is probably multilingual. Seems like a smart, well-educated person.

Your dog is an artistic genius. Fortunately, your failure to recognize it does not seem to be discouraging her.

He certainly fits here. And I think he's just getting some perspective of his own from that angle.

Why is there a question mark?

Only their constituents can really impose consequences. That desperately needs to happen.

I find beds to be most comfortable in the “legs downward” orientation.

Curious_Canid ,
@Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca avatar

Fair point. Strapping yourself into the bed is less comfortable.

And clearly enjoying it. It’s good of you to give him one!

Both of ours have chairs too.

All dogs should have their own comfy seats. And the rest of us make do as best we can. :-)

Mine do that too.

I’d missed the cat! She impersonates a sofa cushion quite well. Protective camouflage.

I appreciate that you said it “for” mental health, but not whether it’s intended to be positive or negative. :-D

That sort of attention to detail is what separates the talented amateurs from the professionals.

    It varies widely from one community to another, but Lemmy is certainly much smaller than reddit. I think that some communities have hit the tipping point where there are enough people to keep things going. The smaller communities are still working at that, but they still provide useful information and good company. Lemmy is growing so I expect the situation to improve over time.

    Personally I haven’t run into the kind of hostility that some people are reporting. It’s sad that it’s out there, but be aware that it is not the universal Lemmy experience. I suspect it depends heavily on what communities you frequent and what instance you are on. Eventually I expect the toxic areas to implode, or just drift away into isolation, as they are replaced by similar communities with better members and better moderation.

    I assume she looks like that because she is trying to solve the worlds problems. She has a better chance than most of succeeding.

    Those extra limbs are helpful in supporting all that cuteness.

    He’s adorable! I’m glad he is being well taken care of.

    It’s okay to joke with your wife, but don’t let him hear it.

    He is adorable!

    Several of those countries have been controlled by European powers, but were probably not colonized.

    kbin works surprisingly well on a mobile browser, but I’m happy to see a full client for it. Thank you!

    kbin is definitely a work in progress, but I love having more than one option for accessing the Fediverse. Both kbin and Lemmy are quite good.

    And the third-party support, like yours, makes them even better.

    There is a lot of wisdom in the expression. Which is why they’re staying comfy instead of getting up.

    That proud look is so cute! And I’m sure they helped.

    You are, of course, right. I should have given proper credit.

    They’re both adorable!

    This expresses the natural relationship between cats and dogs. Despite the stereotype, nearly all of the ones I’ve known have been very fond of each other.

    Curious_Canid ,
    @Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca avatar

    I haven’t seen that before, but it does seem useful. Having relatively clear definitions of those lines is a good start.

    Curious_Canid ,

    “Be Civil” is the core value for me.

    I also have a question, rather than an answer. Should all posts require the URL of an external article? Or are people allowed to post “topic for discussion” and personal opinion posts? There needs to be a place for that, I’m just not sure whether this is it. So far I haven’t found a good venue for that.

    Curious_Canid ,
    @Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca avatar

    I certainly don’t insist that opinion posts need to be allowed here, but I think there needs to be somewhere they belong. I guess the question is whether this should be primarily a place to find news or a place for taking about it.

    Taking a break from all the other anti-Reddit anti-Meta posts to note how much better kbin has gotten in just a short amount of time! Love the new layout and we're finally seeing lots of content from everywhere in the verse. Thanks to @ernest for all your hard work.

    That is a magical picture. I know how much time and effort goes into reaching that point and you’re a good person for doing it.
