Yes and no. Multiple things are the problem.

1st - what you said, this shouldn't be a thing worth highlighting and its sad it is

2nd - just the usual online clout generating using your sick child. The image below is the poster with her sick daughter in her lap, I cut it off on purpose. I get it, images are more powerful than words but using your child for online clout is a hard no for me, triple that when your child is sick

3rd - the image is taken by another person. Often you see this sort of post with the person taking a clear selfie, here its almost a professional quality photoshoot type of picture, I know its still probably just a mobile phone though, not saying they hired a photographer for this. So who is that person? I'd hope the dad, but why is that person there able to take that picture but not taking care of the child. Sure, maybe same situation, working from home to also take care of the child and they take turns. But then that's a bit dishonest not to mention you are sharing responsibility but instead celebrate yourself as an awesome "working mom"

4th - if the dad is also home, why can he not maybe even take care of the child alone?

5th - just like how sick leave should be normal, having leave to take care of your children should be the norm too. I know I am having a privileged perspective here, I live in a Scandinavian country where we have such a "taking care of sick children" leave. And its great! So yeah, if you don't live in a country like that, you look at this and feel like its not so bad, from my perspective it is

Fully agree. I see this sentiment so often, "we gotta tell people from reddit how great it is here!"
This might work with something like a meme community, but once it becomes a bit less mainstream you need people to make that decision themselves. It will look needy and annoying to try and "educate" them about how supposedly great it is here.

Literally “between”, it got kind of shoved into the last episode of season 01 and killed off again when season 02 started. They should have played it out more, let them develop a good relationship on screen, the way it was done just seemed so forced. Like the writers forgot they wanted to have some LGBTQ+ representation in the series up until the last episode of season 01.

It is not in my wheelhouse either but what one has to give it that despite being a kids show it is actually “really” Star Trek.

What I mean by that is if you look at the Star Wars kids series in contrast, its a series with interchangable stories, very simple kids stuff. Could be Star Wars, could be something else. Honestly, if you take away the lightsabres, you would not know its Star Wars until you see Yoda. They do display themes like its good to help each other, but honestly what other kids show does not do that?

Prodigy on the other hand does it better since it actually introduces the Federation and its ideals, the protagonists are also exploring the planets they come by. Overall it feels quite like a real Star Trek show but of course still at the level of kids shows.

My two cents, others might disagree.

Disagree. Unpopular opinion posts are a thing. They are exactly what that poster has done. Deleting the post saying no one cares about an unpopular opinion is quite bad moderation unless there is a rule not to post such a type of topic.

Edit: The moderator who deleted that post should also read their own rules again, especially rule 4. Calling something a luke warm take that no one cares about is quite far from being nice.

Yeah same, I am only posting here now since it took me a bit to actually finish the episode. I really don’t like musicals much in general so this was a hard watch.

I am not saying it was not well done, for what it was they really put their soul into it which is great. Just not at all for me. And I loved the Lower Decks crossover, so its not about it being silly.
