Says the guy who probably works that in a year

Fiivemacs ,

I did the same...but used the lead to teach her recall now I don't have to worry about it.

It's a play bow

How often do I actually need my heat pump system tuned up?

I had a heat pump installed about a year ago. It came with one free service and the installing company has been calling me almost every week to come out and do the complimentary tune up. I know that I obviously should take a free tune up, but it made me wonder. How often do I actually need this done? What are they actually...

Fiivemacs ,

Never, do not let anyone touch it if it's working. The furnace, yes...the outdoor unit, NO. Even then, the furnace would just need filter changes, and maybe checking gas pressures for heat and heat exchanger cracks or whatever..

It's a closed loop system. Zero reason to even look at it unless it stops working.the more it gets worked on, the higher changlce it won't be working the same after.

Fiivemacs ,

Yes..just don't turn the stat to heat OR don't hook up the reversing valve.

Heat pump and AC are literally identical machines with maybe 2 components being actually different. There's honestly no reason AC only even exists.

Regarding sleep quality, why did humans evolve to require full darkness?

I know evolution is governed by chance and it is random but does it make sense to "ruin" sleep if there's light? I mean normally, outside, you never have pure darkness, there are the moon and stars even at night. In certain zones of the Earth we also have long periods of no sunshine and long periods of only sunshine....

Fiivemacs ,

Full darkness is most certainly a thing and is more of a thing then light..light is artificial. Remove the sun...what do you get, full darkness. Light is added, darkness isn't.

Same with heat..everything is cold unless heat is added.

Cold and full dark are forever, heat and light are techcially temporary.

So low quality builds and unreliable craftsmanship with a high change of drug smuggling and stolen parts. Even better.

Fiivemacs ,

Depends on the project really. Sometimes working together is better, sometimes working solo for a common goal is better. Really depends.

The fact that it’s even allowed to be said and put into an American website like YouTube proves the claims are already kinda false…

What are you trying to prove?

Fiivemacs ,

You assume it’s anonymized and not given to hiring managers, meaning it probably is

Americans are confused, frustrated by new tipping culture, study finds ( www.washingtonpost.com )

It’s gotten rather absurd. If my interaction is with a kiosk short of being handed something, it’s an insulting extra step. I’m already paying the price for my employer’s pay scale … I can’t take on someone else’s stinginess....

Fiivemacs ,

Stop tipping and caring what people think about it. Easy.

Fiivemacs ,

Are your Huskies paws scratchy or smooth? Curious as mine are kinda scratchy like a cats tongue but they have never seemed to bother her. I always figured it was a breed thing.

Amazing pups, butt to butt, fart to fart.

Fiivemacs ,

Hey this is the bullshit that ISPs do too.

Advertise service for like $70 a month, when in REALITY it’s 140. I always askel for the real price and they continue to tell me the sale price…I don’t care about sales and deals until I know what shit costs.

This is the same bullshit, just in reverse. Hide the pay and only talk about the bullshit they can just take away in a moment’s notice. Deceptive.

Name and shame.

Fiivemacs ,

Totally were removed. I reported every single one of them then blocked them.

Was that the same douche that attempted the amazon gift card trash on infosec?

Fiivemacs ,

You assume it’s only the digital swipe they are monitoring and not the physical swipe. Also, I’m sure they have multiple offices.

I say, don’t care about it. Collectively, don’t go.

Fiivemacs ,

It’s an iPhone, did you ever really have full control? Serious question…

I Set Out to Create a Simple Map for How to Appeal Your Insurance Denial. Instead, I Found a Mind-Boggling Labyrinth. ( www.propublica.org )

It’s especially complicated in oncology, said Dr. Barbara McAneny, a former president of the American Medical Association who runs a 6,000-patient oncology practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico....

Fiivemacs ,

Insurance isn’t in the business of paying…they collect, have broken websites and claim forms that I swear have a hard cap of like 5 submissions a day, infinite holds for repeat callers and customer service who’s job is to deny and annoy you to the point of just not bothering.

Fiivemacs ,

Don’t forget they also invest in companies that buy/own buildings too…it’ll hurt their bottom dollar across the board

Put together a DIY air quality monitor! ( beehaw.org )

With how bad air quality has been this year, I grabbed myself a DIY AirGradient kit so I can monitor air quality in my living space. It was easy to assemble and only required a little bit of soldering knowledge. I’m definitely not proficient enough at soldering as many components ended up crooked on the board. Still works...

Easy…ignore anything he says and work based on the facts. He has already been proven a master liar so why listen to him unless he’s on the stand.
