Can humans reach near neutral buoyancy in a gas that is safe to breathe and contains adequate oxygen?

People talk of potential human flight on planets. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I still wear my inner 5 year old’s caped Superman pajamas, stressing over how many stairs one must jump from to take flight. So is it possible to flappy bird a flying monkey?

The problem would be that you would need a very heavy gas in that mixture. Which would soon unmix, with the heavy gas at the bottom and breathable gas at the top.

Also be careful with breathing even minute amounts of such heavy gasses, as they will accumulate at the lowest parts of the lungs.

I remember a TV show where they breathed such a heavy gas to show what it does to your voice (it transfomed it way down, just like helium transforms it up). They had to stay upside down after that for some time to get the stuff out again.

Nasty little buggers who build their tunnels in dikes and dams. Which makes them a real threat at the current high waters. You are not allowed to feed them, but stupid people still do it. Just a few weeks ago they caught one who had spread a whole sack of carrots to feed them.

On another note: There is an offical hunter somewhere in the area who sells Nutria meat loaves.

They are a serious danger for dams and dikes, as they like to build their tunnels in them. And they had to close a train line recently because Nutria basically destroyed the embankment under the tracks.

Sadly, no. This is a plague that goes across the board when it comes to processed foods. While some are worse offenders than others, some even healthy appearing foods (cereals, smoothies) are horrible dangers for your health.

Sounds awfully familiar. One of our customer wanted a very specific option our system does not provide - because it makes no sense at all. But instead that the customer discusses what is good and what is not, based on our >40 years of international experience in the field, we just got a bunch of drawings telling me that I should do something in the way a political committee with no professional input had decided.

Customer pays for it, customer gets it. Fun fact: I know they will get sick of what they cooked up in no time, so I already installed a “kill switch”. As soon as they get sick of their stupid idea, I can reverse it with a single option. Bossman says to take the same amount of money for switching it back, and he knows they will pay.
